Position Overview
FAO is recruiting an Information Technology Assistant to support and coordinate ICT services at its Djibouti Representation Office. The successful candidate will provide first and second-level technical support, manage IT infrastructure, assist users, maintain equipment inventories, and ensure the effective delivery of information technology services.

Key Responsibilities
The Information Technology Assistant will:
- Receive and register user requests through the Service Desk system.
- Provide first and second-level support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot computers, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and office technology equipment.
- Coordinate with FAO Digital and Agro-Informatics Division (CSI) to resolve complex technical issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software.
- Manage user accounts, email services, and network access permissions.
- Support website publishing and digital content management activities.
- Maintain office shared drives and public email folders.
- Assist with data backup and recovery procedures.
- Support audiovisual equipment setup for meetings and presentations.
- Conduct market research on ICT equipment and software solutions.
- Assist with procurement of ICT hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Maintain accurate ICT inventories and asset records.
- Ensure software licenses are properly documented and compliant.
- Deliver user training and technical guidance.
- Contribute to the IT knowledge base and service improvement initiatives.
