Job Overview

The Renewable Energy Project Finance Analyst will be responsible for structuring, evaluating, and managing the financial aspects of TotalEnergies’ renewable energy projects in Somalia. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed financial models for solar, wind, and hybrid renewable energy projects, incorporating capital expenditures, operating costs, revenue streams, and financing structures.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, sensitivity analyses, and scenario planning to assess project profitability and risk.
  • Prepare comprehensive investment memoranda, pitch decks, and financial reports for internal review and external investors.
  • Coordinate with banks, development finance institutions, and private equity partners to secure project financing and negotiate terms.
  • Monitor project cash flows, covenant compliance, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with Somali energy laws, tax regulations, and international financing standards.
  • Support senior management in strategic decision‑making by providing actionable financial insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of global renewable energy financing trends, incentives, and market dynamics.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling software (Excel, VBA) and familiarity with PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Negotiation and stakeholder management experience, especially with lenders and investors.
  • Understanding of renewable energy technologies, project development phases, and associated risk factors.

Education

A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or FRM are considered an advantage.

Experience

Salary
