Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forestry Management Specialist to join our team in Galkayo, Somalia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our forestry conservation efforts. This will involve working closely with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to design and implement effective forest management strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forestry, conservation, and digital technology, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement digital solutions to support forestry conservation efforts
- Work with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to design and implement effective forest management strategies
- Conduct field research and data collection to inform conservation efforts
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and NGOs
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement conservation projects
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Forestry, Conservation Biology, or related field
- 8-12 years of experience in forestry conservation, digital technology, or related field
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
