Job Overview
We are seeking a highly creative and analytical E-Commerce UX Designer to join our digital product team. This role is critical to our success in the Somali market, as you will be responsible for designing the interfaces that drive our customer engagement. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and marketing specialists to create seamless user journeys that convert visitors into loyal customers. This is a unique opportunity to shape the digital future of retail in Somalia. You will tackle complex problems related to mobile responsiveness, localized payment integration, and intuitive navigation tailored to the specific needs of our local demographic. Key Responsibilities
- Create high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups for web and mobile platforms.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and identify friction points.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure design fidelity during the implementation phase.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive design system to ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints.
- Analyze user behavior data to iterate on existing interfaces and improve conversion rates.
- Participate in design sprints and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative UX solutions.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Strong understanding of responsive web design and mobile-first principles.
- Deep knowledge of user-centered design (UCD) methodologies and accessibility standards.
- Excellent communication skills to present design concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable design improvements.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or a related field is required. A portfolio demonstrating real-world UX projects is essential for consideration.
Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in UX/UI design, specifically within an e-commerce or high-traffic digital platform environment. Experience working in agile development teams is highly preferred.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 7,500,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical proficiency. This is a competitive package designed to attract the best talent in the region.
