Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician to join our production facility in Dhusamareeb. This role is critical to our operations, ensuring that every batch of product leaving our facility meets the highest safety and quality standards. You will be responsible for conducting chemical, physical, and microbiological tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine laboratory testing on raw materials, packaging, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct microbiological assays to detect potential contaminants in food samples.
  • Maintain and calibrate sensitive laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy in all test results.
  • Document all test results accurately in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Investigate deviations in product quality and recommend corrective actions to the production team.
  • Ensure the laboratory environment adheres to strict hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Assist in the implementation of HACCP and ISO quality management systems.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in laboratory techniques including titration, chromatography, and microbial plating.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex scientific data.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to precision in all measurements.
  • Excellent documentation skills and proficiency in digital reporting tools.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with production and supply chain teams.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline is mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate a strong theoretical understanding of food microbiology and chemical analysis.

Experience

A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience working in a food manufacturing laboratory is required. Proven experience with ISO 17025 or similar quality standards is highly preferred. Candidates should be familiar with automated testing equipment and standard laboratory safety procedures.

Salary
