Job Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Aviation Maintenance Engineer to join our technical operations team in Bosaso. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise complex aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities to ensure maximum fleet availability.
• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs in accordance with EASA and FAA standards.
• Conduct detailed inspections of aircraft components, engines, and avionics systems to identify potential faults.
• Oversee the technical documentation and certification processes for all maintenance actions performed on the fleet.
• Manage a team of junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate with the supply chain department to ensure the availability of certified spare parts and specialized tools.
• Analyze technical data and maintenance reports to identify trends and implement preventive measures.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in aircraft systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• In-depth knowledge of international aviation safety regulations and compliance protocols.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities in a high-pressure environment.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex mechanical issues.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to write detailed technical reports.
• Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a closely related technical field is mandatory. Candidates must also hold valid certifications recognized by international aviation bodies.

Experience

A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or senior engineering role. Proven experience working with narrow-body or wide-body commercial aircraft is highly preferred. Candidates should have a track record of maintaining high safety standards in a commercial airline setting.

Salary

The monthly salary for this position is competitive and ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 6,200,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s specific qualifications and expertise. This is a highly rewarding position within the aviation sector in Somalia.
