Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Petroleum Reservoir Engineer to join our technical team in Burao. This role is critical to our long-term asset management and production optimization strategies. You will be responsible for characterizing reservoir behavior, predicting future production profiles, and designing development plans to maximize recovery. This position requires a deep understanding of fluid flow in porous media and advanced numerical simulation techniques. Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex reservoir simulations to predict hydrocarbon recovery and pressure depletion.
- Develop and optimize field development plans (FDP) to maximize asset value.
- Conduct uncertainty analysis and risk assessment for various drilling and completion scenarios.
- Collaborate with geologists and drilling engineers to optimize well placement and production.
- Monitor real-time production data to validate reservoir models and adjust strategies.
- Lead technical reviews and provide expert guidance to junior engineering staff.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in reservoir simulation software such as Eclipse or Petrel.
- In-depth knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid properties in hydrocarbon reservoirs.

Education
A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a closely related Earth Science discipline is required. A PhD is highly preferred for this senior-level technical role.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 8 years of direct experience in reservoir engineering within the upstream oil and gas sector. Proven track record in managing large-scale field development projects is essential. Experience in unconventional reservoirs or deepwater environments is a significant advantage.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 7,500,000 SSP, depending on experience, technical expertise, and performance metrics.
