Job Overview

The Aviation Safety Officer will lead safety management initiatives for Turkish Airlines’ operations in Somalia, focusing on risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of safety protocols. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety management systems (SMS) in accordance with ICAO and local regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all operational areas.
• Collaborate with the Civil Aviation Authority of Somalia to ensure compliance with national aviation safety standards.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analyses, and generate corrective action plans.
• Prepare safety performance reports and present findings to senior management.
• Design and deliver safety training modules for pilots, cabin crew, and ground staff.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry best practices and emerging safety technologies.
• Support the development of emergency response procedures and crisis management plans.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of ICAO Annex 19, EASA, and FAA safety regulations.

Education

Experience
