Job Overview
This role focuses on the financial analysis, modeling, and structuring of renewable energy projects in Somalia. The analyst will work closely with project development teams, investors, and local stakeholders to ensure the financial viability and successful execution of solar and wind initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models for renewable energy projects, including cash flow, IRR, and NPV analyses.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to support investment decisions.
- Collaborate with engineering, legal, and procurement teams to gather project data and ensure alignment with financial assumptions.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management and external investors.
- Monitor project performance against budgets and financial targets, providing variance analysis and recommendations.
- Assist in negotiating financing terms with banks, development agencies, and private investors.
- Support the preparation of loan documentation, contracts, and compliance filings.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Somali is an advantage.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are preferred.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in project finance, preferably within the renewable energy sector, with a proven track record of successful project evaluations and financing.
Salary
