Job Overview
UN Women is seeking a Programme Finance Associate to support financial, administrative, and operational aspects of programme implementation in Dolow. The role involves ensuring compliance with financial regulations, supporting budgeting and reporting, and coordinating with partners and stakeholders to facilitate efficient programme delivery. Key Responsibilities
Implement financial strategies in compliance with UN Women regulations and donor requirements; review and verify financial transactions and documentation; monitor financial systems, expenditures, and exception reports; support audits and ensure audit readiness; assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting; manage financial transactions including vouchers, payroll, and travel claims; track partner advances and financial reporting; support donor reporting and compliance requirements; maintain financial records and documentation; assist programme and operations teams with financial processes; support resource mobilization through budget preparation and financial inputs; facilitate knowledge sharing and capacity building for partners; ensure effective coordination and communication across teams and stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications and Education
Completion of secondary education is required; certification in accounting or finance is an asset; Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is desirable; successful completion of UN Women Accounting and Finance Test is required during the selection process.
Experience Required
Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in finance or accounting; experience with office software and financial systems; familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle Cloud is desirable; experience working with donor-funded projects and financial reporting is an advantage.
Language Requirements
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Somali language is required; knowledge of another UN language (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) is an added advantage.

Salary Range
