Job Overview

Somtel Group is seeking a highly skilled Digital Identity Verification Specialist to join its growing team in Galkayo. This role is critical to developing and maintaining secure digital identity verification systems that support Somtel’s expanding suite of online services, including e-commerce, mobile banking, and government digital initiatives. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with international cybersecurity standards while driving innovation in identity management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust digital identity verification protocols for Somtel’s platforms.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate identity verification with existing security frameworks.
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in identity systems.
  • Develop user-friendly verification workflows for customers and partners.
  • Stay updated on global identity verification trends and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in digital identity protocols (e.g., OAuth, OpenID Connect).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Experience with blockchain-based identity solutions or biometric authentication systems.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards (ISO 27001, GDPR).

Education
