Job Overview
CARE International Somalia is seeking a passionate Digital Literacy Program Manager to lead the implementation of digital skills training programs in Qoryoley. This role will focus on designing and delivering educational content to empower underserved communities with essential digital tools and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital literacy curricula tailored to local community needs.
- Coordinate with local schools, NGOs, and government agencies to establish training partnerships.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions on basic computer skills, internet navigation, and digital safety.
- Monitor program impact through data collection and reporting to stakeholders.
- Identify and secure resources for program sustainability, including technology equipment and software licenses.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in educational program management or digital training initiatives.
- Strong understanding of digital tools and platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, e-learning software).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for community engagement.
- Ability to adapt training methods to diverse age groups and technical proficiency levels.
- Fluency in Somali and English.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Information Technology, or related field.
- Master’s Degree in Digital Education or Public Administration preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in digital literacy program design or educational technology implementation.
- Previous work in humanitarian or development contexts in Somalia or neighboring regions.
Salary
1,200,000 – 1,800,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
