We are seeking a skilled Digital Forensic Analyst to join our growing Forensic Technology team in Beledweyne. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct digital forensic examinations on computers, mobile devices, and other electronic media
- Preserve, collect, and analyze electronic evidence in accordance with legal requirements
- Prepare detailed forensic reports and present findings to clients and legal teams
- Provide expert testimony in court proceedings and legal hearings
- Assist in incident response activities and cybersecurity investigations
- Maintain chain of custody and ensure evidence integrity throughout investigations
- Stay current with emerging digital forensic techniques and tools
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and legal professionals on complex cases
- Develop and implement digital forensic procedures and best practices
- Train junior staff members on digital forensic methodologies
Required Skills
- Proficiency in digital forensic tools such as FTK, EnCase, Cellebrite, or X-Ways
- Strong understanding of file systems, operating systems, and network protocols
- Experience with mobile device forensics and cloud data extraction
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and incident response procedures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and meticulous documentation practices
- Understanding of Somali legal system and evidence handling requirements
- Professional certification in digital forensics (e.g., CFCE, EnCE, GCFE)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, or related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications are highly desirable. Continuous professional development in digital forensics and cybersecurity is essential for this role.
Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in digital forensics, cybersecurity investigations, or related field. Experience working in a professional services environment or with law enforcement agencies is preferred. Demonstrated experience with complex digital investigations and evidence presentation.
