Job Overview

The E-Commerce Logistics Specialist will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end movement of goods within our Borama distribution hub. This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional who understands the complexities of last-mile delivery, inventory management, and vendor coordination. You will be responsible for ensuring that every order placed through our digital platforms is processed, packed, and dispatched with maximum efficiency and minimal error rates. This position requires a blend of analytical thinking and hands-on operational management to navigate the unique logistical landscape of the region.

As we continue to scale, this role will involve optimizing delivery routes, managing relationships with local courier partners, and implementing new warehouse management technologies. You will work closely with the digital platform team to ensure that inventory levels are accurately reflected online and that customer expectations regarding delivery timelines are consistently met. This is a high-impact role that is central to our success in the Somali market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery to customers across the region.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement teams to prevent stockouts.
  • Analyze delivery data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and local delivery agents.
  • Oversee the quality control process for all outgoing packages to ensure brand standards.
  • Generate weekly reports on delivery performance, return rates, and shipping costs.
  • Implement and maintain digital tracking systems for real-time shipment visibility.

  • Advanced proficiency in logistics management software and ERP systems.

Education

Candidates must possess at least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in logistics, warehouse management, or e-commerce operations. Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution center is preferred. Experience in the Somali market is a significant advantage.

Salary

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 1,200,000 SSP to 1,800,000 SSP, depending on experience and performance metrics.
