Job Overview
The Aviation Safety Management Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that all flight operations in the Lughaya region adhere to international aviation safety standards and local regulatory requirements. This position involves conducting rigorous risk assessments, monitoring safety performance indicators, and implementing robust safety management systems (SMS) to mitigate operational hazards. You will work closely with flight crews, ground handling teams, and maintenance personnel to identify potential risks before they manifest as incidents. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive Safety Management Systems (SMS) tailored to regional operational needs.
- Conduct regular internal audits of flight operations, ground handling, and maintenance procedures.
- Perform detailed root cause analysis for any reported safety incidents or near-misses.
- Monitor and report on Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs) to senior management.
- Collaborate with local aviation authorities to ensure full compliance with national and international regulations.
- Lead safety training workshops for ground staff and flight crew members.
- Analyze flight data to identify trends that may indicate emerging safety risks.
Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) safety standards.
- Proficiency in conducting qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex flight data.

Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field is required. Professional certifications in Safety Management Systems (SMS) or Aviation Safety Auditing are highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess between 5 to 7 years of direct experience in aviation safety management or flight operations oversight. Previous experience working within a large-scale international airline is essential. Proven track record of managing safety audits and implementing corrective actions is required.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 6,200,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
