Job Overview

We are seeking a highly meticulous and detail-oriented Customs Brokerage Specialist to join our growing operations in El Ela. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process complex customs documentation for various types of cargo.
• Classify goods according to the Harmonized System (HS) codes to ensure accurate duty assessment.
• Liaise with government customs officials to facilitate the smooth clearance of shipments.
• Audit shipping documents to ensure compliance with international trade regulations and local laws.
• Monitor changes in trade policies and provide updates to the logistics management team.
• Resolve discrepancies in shipping manifests or customs declarations promptly.

• Expert knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
• Strong analytical skills for calculating duties, taxes, and tariffs.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certification in Customs Brokerage or International Freight Forwarding is highly preferred.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in customs brokerage or international trade compliance, preferably within a large-scale logistics or shipping firm. Proven experience working with East African customs authorities is a significant advantage.

Salary
