Job Overview
The Quality Assurance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that all food products distributed and manufactured within our regional supply chain meet the highest safety and quality standards. This role involves overseeing laboratory testing, managing compliance audits, and implementing continuous improvement protocols. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our brand by preventing contamination and ensuring every product adheres to both local and international regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality control protocols for all incoming raw materials and finished goods.
- Lead internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO and HACCP standards.
- Manage a team of laboratory technicians and quality inspectors to ensure consistent testing schedules.
- Investigate quality deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to monitor vendor compliance and product traceability.
- Prepare detailed quality reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of food safety management systems (HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities regarding chemical and biological hazards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with cross-functional departments.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline is mandatory. Advanced certifications in Quality Management or Food Safety are highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess at least 5 years of experience in quality assurance within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector. Proven experience in managing laboratory operations and leading audit processes is essential for success in this role.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 6,200,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical expertise. This is a competitive package designed to attract top-tier talent for employment in Somalia.
