Job Overview
The Hospitality Guest Services Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring that every guest at our Kismayo property receives a seamless and welcoming experience from arrival to departure. This role is central to our front-of-house operations, requiring a blend of administrative precision and high-level interpersonal skills. You will act as the primary point of contact for guest inquiries, coordinating between various departments to ensure all requests are met promptly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate guest check-in and check-out processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage guest reservations and handle complex booking inquiries via phone and email.
- Liaise with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure room readiness and guest satisfaction.
- Resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and professionally to maintain high service ratings.
- Maintain accurate guest records and process payments securely according to company policy.
- Assist in training new staff members on service standards and property protocols.
Required Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Somali.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field is required. Candidates with specialized certifications in hotel operations will be given preference.
Experience
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a front-desk or guest services role within a 4 or 5-star hotel environment is essential. Proven experience in handling high-profile international clients is highly desirable.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 450,000 SSP to 750,000 SSP, depending on experience and performance metrics.
