Job Overview

We are seeking a highly strategic and creative Public Relations Manager to lead our communication efforts in the Jowhar region. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate press conferences and community engagement events to promote BBC Somali initiatives.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Somali and English.

  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and social media monitoring platforms.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is mandatory. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in Corporate Communications are highly preferred.

Experience

Candidates must possess at least five years of professional experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media management. Experience working within a major international media organization or a large-scale NGO in East Africa is a significant advantage. Salary

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 450,000 SSP to 750,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and performance during the interview process.
