Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Site Investigator to lead our subsurface investigation programs in the Las Anod region. This role is critical to the success of our large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring that all foundation designs and earthworks are based on precise, high-quality geological data. You will be responsible for overseeing soil and rock testing, interpreting complex geological formations, and providing technical guidance to site engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex geotechnical site investigations, including borehole drilling, trial pits, and in-situ testing.
- Interpret geological and geotechnical data to provide actionable recommendations for foundation design and earthworks.
- Supervise field technicians and laboratory personnel to ensure data accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports, including soil profiles, groundwater assessments, and settlement analysis.
- Collaborate with structural engineers and project managers to mitigate subsurface risks during the design phase.
- Ensure all site activities comply with local environmental regulations and Skanska’s global safety protocols.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in geotechnical modeling software and CAD applications.
- Expertise in interpreting Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) and Cone Penetration Tests (CPT).
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating soil mechanics and rock mass properties.
- Excellent technical writing skills for producing detailed engineering reports.
- Proven ability to manage field operations in challenging environmental conditions.
Education
A Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related geological science is mandatory. Professional licensure or certification in engineering is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of direct experience in geotechnical site investigation, preferably within large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects. Proven experience in managing field teams and interpreting complex geological data is essential for this role.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 6,200,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical expertise. This is a competitive package designed to attract the best talent in the region.
