Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resource Engineer to lead complex hydraulic modeling and infrastructure design projects in the Las Anod region. This role is pivotal in developing sustainable water distribution networks and advanced filtration systems to combat local water scarcity. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of water management projects, from initial hydrological assessment to the implementation of large-scale desalination or purification plants. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement large-scale hydraulic systems and water distribution networks.
- Conduct comprehensive hydrological studies and groundwater modeling to predict resource availability.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of advanced water purification and desalination technologies.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams of technicians and junior engineers on-site.
- Ensure all water management projects comply with international environmental safety standards.
- Develop long-term water security strategies for municipal and industrial clients.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in hydraulic modeling software such as EPANET or WaterGEMS.
- Deep understanding of groundwater hydrology and aquifer management.
- Expertise in water treatment process engineering and chemical dosing systems.
- Strong project management capabilities and budget oversight skills.
- Excellent technical reporting and stakeholder communication abilities.
Education
A Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or a closely related field is mandatory. A PhD in Water Resource Management is highly preferred for this senior-level position.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in water infrastructure design or hydraulic engineering. Proven experience working in arid or semi-arid climates is a significant advantage. Previous experience in large-scale international development projects is preferred.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 6,200,000 SSP, depending on technical expertise and project complexity.
