Job Overview

The Senior Robotics Automation Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing automated manufacturing systems. This role is critical for our upcoming industrial projects in the region, where we aim to introduce high-precision robotic cells to local production lines. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of automation projects, from initial conceptualization and simulation to onsite installation and commissioning. This is a high-impact position that requires a deep understanding of motion control, sensor integration, and machine vision technologies. Key Responsibilities

  • Design complex robotic workcells and automated assembly lines using advanced simulation software.
  • Program and integrate industrial robots (6-axis, SCARA, and Delta) with PLC and HMI systems.
  • Lead the commissioning and testing of new automation hardware on the factory floor.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing robotic systems to increase throughput and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine vision and sensor-based feedback loops.
  • Develop technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, logic flowcharts, and user manuals.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices for robotic safety and maintenance.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in programming industrial robot controllers (e.g., ABB Rapid, KUKA, or FANUC).
  • Advanced proficiency in PLC programming (Structured Text, Ladder Logic) and SCADA systems.
  • Strong understanding of motion control theory and kinematics.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for designing mechanical components and system layouts.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills for complex system integration.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with international project teams.

Education

A Master of Science in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field is required. A PhD in a specialized automation field is highly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a strong academic background in control systems and mathematical modeling.

Experience

A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation and robotics is essential. Proven track record of managing large-scale automation projects from design through to final commissioning is required.
