Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead our subsurface investigation and foundation design efforts for major infrastructure projects in the region. Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive geotechnical site investigations, including borehole logging and in-situ testing.
- Perform complex calculations for slope stability, soil bearing capacity, and settlement analysis.
- Develop detailed geotechnical design reports and recommendations for various foundation types.
- Collaborate with the design team to integrate geotechnical data into structural models.
- Supervise field technicians during soil sampling and testing procedures.
- Review and approve geotechnical specifications for procurement and construction phases.
- Mitigate geological risks through advanced predictive modeling and risk assessment.
Required Skills
- Expertise in geotechnical software such as Plaxis, GeoStudio, or gINT.
- Advanced knowledge of soil mechanics and rock mechanics principles.
- Strong proficiency in technical report writing and data interpretation.
- Exceptional project management and multidisciplinary team coordination skills.
- In-depth understanding of international geotechnical standards and local regulations.
- Ability to manage complex field operations in challenging terrains.
Education
A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering is mandatory. A PhD in a related field is highly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a strong academic background in soil mechanics and structural geology.
Experience
A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering is required. Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, such as bridges, highways, or high-rise buildings, is essential. Experience working in developing regions or challenging geological environments is a significant advantage.
Salary
