Job Overview

The Aerospace Quality Assurance Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all Boeing products and processes meet the highest quality standards in accordance with international aerospace regulations. Reporting to the Regional QA Manager, the incumbent will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop, implement, and audit quality systems, driving continuous improvement across the Hargeisa facility. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update quality management systems (QMS) in line with ISO 9001, AS9100, and Boeing’s internal standards.
• Conduct internal and external audits, identify non‑conformities, and lead corrective action initiatives.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate quality requirements early in product development.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management and regional stakeholders.
• Support supplier qualification, evaluation, and continuous monitoring to ensure compliance with Boeing’s supplier quality standards.
• Mentor and train local engineers and technicians on quality best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in risk assessments and reliability studies for new aerospace projects.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 9001).
• Proficiency in audit techniques, corrective action processes, and statistical analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to evolving regulatory landscapes.
• Advanced problem‑solving capabilities and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Somali is an advantage.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) are highly desirable and will be considered an asset during the selection process.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in aerospace quality assurance, preferably within a multinational environment.
