Job Overview

The Agricultural Business Development Manager will lead strategic initiatives to expand Cargill’s agribusiness footprint in Somalia. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the Somali agricultural sector.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, cooperatives, government agencies, and NGOs.
  • Conduct market research and feasibility studies to assess new product lines and services.
  • Lead negotiations and contract management for supply agreements and joint ventures.
  • Collaborate with Cargill’s supply chain, finance, and sustainability teams to ensure seamless project implementation.
  • Monitor performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Promote Cargill’s sustainability initiatives and ensure compliance with local regulations.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CFA) are highly desirable and will be considered an asset.

Experience

Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in agribusiness development, market expansion, or related fields. Prior experience working in Somalia or neighboring East African markets is strongly preferred.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from SSP 10,000,000 to SSP 15,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the compensation package.
