Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough credit analysis of corporate, SME, and individual loan applications using financial statements, cash flow models, and market data.
  • Prepare detailed credit risk reports, including risk ratings, mitigation strategies, and recommendation summaries for senior approval.
  • Monitor existing loan portfolios for early warning signals, covenant breaches, and deteriorating credit quality.
  • Collaborate with relationship managers to structure loan terms that align with risk appetite and regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of credit risk policies, scoring models, and stress‑testing frameworks.
  • Stay updated on macro‑economic trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting the Somali banking sector.
  • Participate in credit committee meetings, presenting findings and defending risk assessments.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and credit scoring tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presenting to stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of Somali banking regulations, Basel III standards, and international best practices.

Education
