Job Overview
This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of Dahabshil Group’s digital payment systems. The Digital Payments Compliance Officer will ensure adherence to national and international financial regulations, mitigate risks, and foster a culture of compliance across the organization. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with expertise in financial compliance and a passion for emerging technologies in the fintech sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and audit digital payment transactions for compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) regulations.
- Develop and implement compliance policies tailored to Somalia’s evolving financial landscape.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies to stay updated on legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in payment systems and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide training to internal teams on compliance protocols and emerging threats in digital finance.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in financial compliance, with a focus on digital payments and fintech.
- Strong understanding of Somalia’s financial regulations and international standards (e.g., FATF guidelines).
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in risk management tools and compliance software.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Law, or Compliance.
- Preferred: Certification in Compliance (e.g., CAMS, CISA) or Financial Risk Management.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in financial compliance, preferably in digital payments or fintech.
- Experience working in Somalia’s financial sector or similar emerging markets.
Salary
10,000 – 15,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
