Job Overview
Habeeye is seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Field Representative to manage the full merchant lifecycle. The role involves acquiring, onboarding, and supporting merchants to ensure successful engagement with the platform. The candidate will act as the primary point of contact for merchants in Hargeisa, helping them grow and remain active on the platform while achieving acquisition and retention targets.
Key Responsibilities
Merchant Acquisition
Identify and visit local businesses including retail, dining, and service providers; introduce Habeeye and its benefits; guide merchants through the registration and sign-up process; address concerns and encourage adoption of the platform.
Onboarding & Training
Conduct one-on-one and group training sessions; assist merchants in setting up accounts and using platform features; ensure smooth onboarding and understanding of best practices for platform success.
Ongoing Support & Retention
Serve as the first point of contact for merchant support via phone, chat, and email; provide timely solutions and assistance; conduct regular check-ins to gather feedback and improve engagement; identify inactive merchants and implement re-engagement strategies.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
Collect and share merchant feedback with internal teams; provide insights on local market trends and competition; support product and strategy improvements through field intelligence.
Performance Expectations
Minimum target of 20 new merchants onboarded per month; maintain high merchant satisfaction and low churn rates; ensure consistent engagement and active usage of the platform by merchants.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong ability to balance acquisition and relationship management (“hunter and farmer” mindset); excellent communication and persuasion skills; strong customer service orientation and problem-solving ability; ability to work independently and meet targets; strong organizational and follow-up skills; familiarity with mobile apps, CRM tools, and basic software systems; deep understanding of the Hargeisa business environment; fluency in Somali and strong English proficiency; prior experience in field sales, B2B sales, customer success, or training is an advantage.
Working Conditions
Working hours: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, 6 days per week (Friday off); hybrid model combining field visits and remote support.
Compensation
