Job Overview

The Marine Logistics Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing the end‑to‑end flow of cargo between the port facilities and inland destinations, ensuring seamless coordination of vessel arrivals, cargo handling, customs clearance, and inland transportation. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate vessel berthing schedules, cargo discharge plans, and inland transportation bookings to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Act as the primary point of contact for shipping agents, freight forwarders, and customs officials, facilitating smooth communication and issue resolution.
• Monitor cargo movement through the port and inland network, updating tracking systems and providing real‑time status reports to stakeholders.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, manifests, and customs declarations, ensuring compliance with Somali regulations and international standards.
• Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, propose process improvements, and support continuous performance optimization.
• Maintain accurate records of cargo volumes, handling charges, and transportation costs for financial reporting and audit purposes.
• Collaborate with the safety and security teams to enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Support the development of contingency plans for disruptions such as weather events, port congestion, or regulatory changes.
