Job Overview

The Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and improving end‑to‑end supply chain processes for GSK’s product portfolio in Somalia. The role involves close collaboration with procurement, manufacturing, quality assurance, logistics, and sales teams to ensure timely, cost‑effective, and compliant delivery of pharmaceuticals to health facilities, pharmacies, and distribution partners. The analyst will leverage data analytics, forecasting models, and industry best practices to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance visibility across the supply chain network. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and analyze supply chain data including inventory levels, demand forecasts, order fulfillment rates, and transportation metrics.
• Develop and maintain demand planning models to improve forecast accuracy for pharmaceutical products.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements to enhance order cycle time, reduce stock‑outs, and minimize excess inventory.
• Collaborate with procurement to evaluate supplier performance, negotiate service level agreements, and ensure compliance with GSK’s quality standards.
• Monitor cold‑chain logistics, ensuring temperature‑controlled storage and transport meet regulatory requirements.
• Prepare regular performance dashboards and reports for senior management, highlighting key KPIs and actionable insights.
• Support the implementation of ERP and supply chain management software upgrades, providing user training and change management.
• Coordinate with regulatory affairs to ensure all import/export documentation complies with Somali and international regulations.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain regulations, Good Distribution Practice (GDP), and cold‑chain management.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and lean methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is highly desirable.

Education

The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Pharmacy, or a related discipline. Advanced certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or a Master’s degree are advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience

A minimum of three to five years of hands‑on experience in pharmaceutical supply chain operations, preferably within emerging markets, is required. Experience with demand planning, inventory optimization, and regulatory compliance will be strongly considered.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 4,000,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the compensation package.
