We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our growing legal practice in Kismayo. Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal advice to corporate clients regarding complex commercial transactions and regulatory compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including joint venture agreements, service contracts, and international trade documents.
- Represent the firm and its clients in various legal proceedings and administrative hearings.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support litigation strategies and advisory opinions.
- Monitor changes in local and international laws to ensure proactive compliance for all clients.
- Collaborate with cross-border legal teams to facilitate seamless international business operations.

- Advanced expertise in corporate law and commercial litigation.
- Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills in English and Somali.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to interpret complex regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority legal matters simultaneously.

Education
Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master of Laws (LLM) from a recognized international university. Professional certification or admission to the bar is mandatory.
Experience
A minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience in a top-tier law firm or a senior in-house legal role is required. Proven experience in the East African legal market is highly advantageous.
Salary
The offered salary range for this position is 4,500,000 to 6,500,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
