Position Overview
The Information Management Officer will lead data management, reporting, analysis, visualization, and information-sharing activities across humanitarian and development programs in Somalia. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate collection, storage, analysis, and dissemination of program data to support evidence-based decision-making and donor reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain project databases and information management systems.
- Develop dashboards, reporting templates, and automated data collection tools.
- Ensure data quality through validation, verification, and regular audits.
- Analyze program data and generate actionable insights for management teams.
- Support monitoring and evaluation activities across multiple projects.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports.
- Maintain beneficiary databases and ensure compliance with data protection standards.
- Coordinate information sharing among field offices and stakeholders.
- Train project staff on data collection methodologies and reporting systems.
- Develop GIS maps and visual products for operational planning.
- Support proposal development through data analysis and evidence generation.
- Manage digital archives and document management systems.
- Monitor key performance indicators and program targets.
- Assist in donor reporting and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with IT teams to improve system functionality and security.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Geography, or related field.
- Master’s Degree in Data Analytics, Information Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, or related discipline is an advantage.
- Certifications in Power BI, GIS, SQL, Tableau, DHIS2, KoboToolbox, or Microsoft Data Platforms are desirable.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in information management, data analysis, or monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience working with NGOs, UN agencies, or development organizations preferred.
- Strong background in database management and reporting systems.
- Experience handling large datasets and complex reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of humanitarian information management standards is desirable.
