Position Overview

The Information Management Officer will lead data management, reporting, analysis, visualization, and information-sharing activities across humanitarian and development programs in Somalia. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate collection, storage, analysis, and dissemination of program data to support evidence-based decision-making and donor reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain project databases and information management systems.
• Develop dashboards, reporting templates, and automated data collection tools.
• Ensure data quality through validation, verification, and regular audits.
• Analyze program data and generate actionable insights for management teams.
• Support monitoring and evaluation activities across multiple projects.
• Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports.
• Maintain beneficiary databases and ensure compliance with data protection standards.
• Coordinate information sharing among field offices and stakeholders.

• Develop GIS maps and visual products for operational planning.
• Support proposal development through data analysis and evidence generation.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Geography, or related field.

• Certifications in Power BI, GIS, SQL, Tableau, DHIS2, KoboToolbox, or Microsoft Data Platforms are desirable.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in information management, data analysis, or monitoring and evaluation.
• Experience working with NGOs, UN agencies, or development organizations preferred.
• Strong background in database management and reporting systems.
• Experience handling large datasets and complex reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of humanitarian information management standards is desirable.
