Job Overview
The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst will play a critical role in our Security Operations Center (SOC) in Kismayo. This role is designed for a highly skilled professional who can detect, investigate, and respond to complex security incidents. You will be responsible for monitoring network traffic, analyzing potential threats, and implementing defensive measures to protect our clients’ most sensitive data. This position requires a deep understanding of adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and the ability to act decisively under pressure. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from various sources to identify potential breaches or unauthorized activities.
- Conduct deep-dive forensic investigations into security incidents to determine the root cause and scope of impact.
- Develop and implement advanced detection rules and automated response playbooks.
- Collaborate with incident response teams to mitigate threats and recover systems efficiently.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and threat hunting exercises across the network.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior security analysts within the SOC.
Required Skills
- Expertise in SIEM, EDR, and network traffic analysis tools.
- Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation.
- Strong understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a dedicated cybersecurity role, preferably within a SOC environment. Proven experience in incident response and threat hunting is essential for success in this position.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 7,500,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical expertise. This competitive package reflects the high level of skill required for this critical role.
