Job Overview

The Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Analyst will lead the identification, analysis, and dissemination of cyber threat information to protect Cisco’s clients and internal assets in Somalia. Working closely with the Security Operations Center (SOC), incident response teams, and regional partners, the analyst will develop actionable intelligence, monitor emerging threats, and provide strategic recommendations to mitigate risk. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and correlate threat data from multiple sources, including open‑source intelligence, dark web monitoring, and internal logs.
• Produce timely threat intelligence reports and briefings for senior leadership, SOC analysts, and client stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain threat intelligence feeds, indicators of compromise (IOCs), and detection rules for security tools.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to provide context and guidance during active investigations.
• Engage with regional and global threat sharing communities, contributing insights and receiving updates on emerging threats.
• Assist in the creation and refinement of security policies, standards, and procedures based on intelligence findings.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for critical assets and emerging technologies.
• Mentor junior analysts and support knowledge transfer across the security team.

Required Skills

• Deep understanding of cyber threat actors, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Proficiency with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., MISP, ThreatConnect) and SIEM tools.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report creation and stakeholder briefings.
• Experience with malware analysis, reverse engineering, and network forensics.
• Knowledge of regional threat landscape, including threats targeting East African infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is required. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GCTI, or OSCP are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Experience

Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in threat intelligence, cyber threat hunting, or related security roles. Prior experience in a multinational technology environment and familiarity with the African cyber threat ecosystem will be valued.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 12,000,000 SSP to 18,000,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health benefits, and a comprehensive retirement plan.
