Job Overview

The Senior Radio Access Network Engineer will lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Telesom’s radio access network (RAN) in Bardere and surrounding areas. Reporting to the Head of Network Engineering, the role involves strategic planning, technical leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure high‑quality coverage, capacity, and service reliability. The successful candidate will work closely with vendors, field teams, and regulatory bodies to align network projects with national standards and corporate objectives. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end RAN planning, including site selection, RF design, and capacity forecasting.
  • Oversee the installation, integration, and commissioning of base stations, antennas, and related equipment.

  • Collaborate with vendor partners for technology upgrades, firmware updates, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, engineering standards, and best‑practice procedures.
  • Coordinate with the regulatory authority to secure permits, spectrum allocations, and compliance certifications.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to field technicians.

Required Skills

  • Deep expertise in LTE/4G radio technologies, RF engineering, and network optimization tools.

  • Excellent project management capabilities, including timeline management and stakeholder communication.

Education
