Job Overview

The AI Solutions Architect will design, develop, and implement end‑to‑end artificial intelligence solutions for Microsoft’s clients in Somalia and the broader East African region. Working closely with sales, engineering, and product teams, you will translate business requirements into scalable AI architectures, leveraging Azure AI services, machine learning models, and data analytics platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand business objectives and translate them into AI solution designs.
• Architect scalable, secure, and cost‑effective AI solutions using Azure AI, Cognitive Services, and custom machine‑learning models.
• Lead proof‑of‑concept (PoC) initiatives, pilot deployments, and full‑scale implementations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring best practices in model training, data governance, and deployment pipelines.
• Work with Microsoft’s sales and partner ecosystem to develop compelling AI proposals and respond to RFPs.
• Stay current with emerging AI trends, research, and regulatory considerations specific to Somalia and the Horn of Africa.
• Document solution architectures, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps.
• Drive continuous improvement by gathering feedback, measuring outcomes, and optimizing AI models for performance and accuracy.

Required Skills

• Deep expertise in AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit‑learn.
• Proficiency with Azure AI services, including Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, and Bot Framework.
• Strong understanding of data engineering, ETL processes, and big‑data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Synapse).
• Experience designing micro‑services architectures and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a strategic mindset for aligning technology with business goals.
• Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and lead cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate) are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.

Experience

Salary
