Job Overview
The Civil Engineering Consultant will play a pivotal role in our upcoming infrastructure development projects in the Hirshabelle region. This role involves providing high-level technical expertise, conducting feasibility studies, and overseeing the structural integrity of large-scale construction projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that all designs meet international safety standards and local regulatory requirements. As a consultant, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between theoretical design and practical field implementation. You will analyze soil conditions, evaluate material durability, and provide critical oversight during the construction phase to mitigate risks. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive site investigations and geotechnical assessments to inform design parameters.
- Review and validate structural blueprints and technical specifications for compliance with international codes.
- Provide expert advisory on material selection to ensure long-term durability in local environmental conditions.
- Collaborate with local government authorities to ensure project alignment with regional development goals.
- Perform rigorous quality control inspections during the construction lifecycle to prevent structural failures.
- Develop detailed technical reports and risk assessment documentation for project stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other structural modeling software.
- Deep understanding of international building codes and local construction regulations.
- Exceptional project management and multi-stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex geological and hydrological data.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills in English.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution is mandatory. A Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or Construction Management is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess between 5 to 7 years of professional experience in civil engineering, specifically within large-scale infrastructure or heavy construction projects. Previous experience working in emerging markets or complex regulatory environments is a significant advantage.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 7,500,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s expertise and technical certifications.
