Job Overview

Pearson Education Somalia is seeking a skilled Digital Education Platform Developer to design, implement, and maintain interactive online learning systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize web-based educational platforms using modern programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
  • Collaborate with instructional designers to integrate multimedia content into digital curricula.
  • Ensure platform compatibility with low-bandwidth environments and mobile devices.
  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback from educators and students to refine platform features.
  • Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive educational data.
  • Provide technical support and training to local education stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in full-stack web development (HTML5, CSS3, React, Node.js).
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Moodle or Canvas.

  • Fluency in English and Somali; Arabic proficiency is a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Education Technology. A Master’s Degree in Digital Education is preferred.

Salary

3,000,000 – 5,000,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
