Job Overview

The Mining Safety Inspector will play a critical role in our Luuq operations, ensuring that all mining activities comply with international safety standards and local regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed risk assessments and hazard identifications for all new mining procedures and equipment deployments.
• Investigate all near-miss incidents and accidents to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
• Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure all staff are following established safety protocols.
• Audit heavy equipment maintenance logs to ensure machinery is operating within safe parameters.
• Lead safety toolbox talks and training sessions for site personnel to reinforce safety awareness.
• Prepare comprehensive safety reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure all blasting and explosive handling procedures strictly adhere to international security and safety standards.

Required Skills

• Expert knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS) standards within the mining sector.
• Proficiency in conducting technical audits and incident investigations using root cause analysis.

Education

Experience

A minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in safety inspection or industrial safety management within a large-scale mining or heavy industrial environment is required. Salary
