Job Overview

The Network Optimization Engineer will play a critical role in designing, analyzing, and improving Hormuud’s radio access network (RAN) and core network performance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive drive‑test and performance analysis to identify network bottlenecks and coverage gaps.
• Develop and implement optimization plans for LTE, 4G, and emerging 5G technologies, focusing on throughput, latency, and handover efficiency.
• Collaborate with RF engineers, planning teams, and vendor partners to fine‑tune antenna configurations, power settings, and load balancing strategies.
• Utilize network simulation tools and data analytics platforms to forecast traffic trends and recommend capacity upgrades.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across the network.
• Participate in on‑site inspections, site acquisition processes, and infrastructure rollout projects.
• Stay abreast of industry standards, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to maintain network excellence.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in network performance tools such as TEMS, Nemo, or similar.
• In‑depth knowledge of LTE, 4G, and 5G radio principles, protocols, and optimization techniques.

Education
