Job Overview
The Retail Banking Product Development Manager will lead the design, launch, and management of retail banking products tailored to the unique needs of Somali consumers and small businesses. Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end product lifecycle management for retail banking solutions, including savings accounts, current accounts, digital wallets, and micro‑loan products.
- Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking to identify gaps and opportunities within the Somali retail banking market.
- Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to ensure all products meet regulatory standards set by the Central Bank of Somalia.
- Develop product pricing, fee structures, and profitability models, presenting business cases to senior leadership.
- Work closely with digital transformation teams to integrate new products into mobile and internet banking platforms.
- Train branch staff and sales teams on product features, benefits, and cross‑selling techniques.
- Monitor product performance metrics, prepare regular reports, and recommend enhancements based on data‑driven insights.
- Engage with customers and community groups to gather feedback and ensure products address local financial needs.
