Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Geothermal Energy Resource Specialist to lead our subsurface exploration and resource assessment initiatives in the El Uid region. This role is critical to the success of our upcoming geothermal projects, as you will be responsible for evaluating the thermal potential and reservoir characteristics of local geothermal fields. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive geothermal reservoir modeling and simulation to predict heat flow and fluid dynamics.
  • Oversee subsurface data collection, including temperature, pressure, and chemical analysis from exploration wells.
  • Collaborate with geological teams to map thermal anomalies and identify high-potential drilling sites.
  • Perform risk assessments related to resource depletion and reservoir sustainability.
  • Prepare technical reports for stakeholders regarding the economic and technical viability of new geothermal sites.
  • Monitor existing production wells to ensure optimal heat extraction and reservoir pressure management.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in reservoir modeling software such as TOUGH2 or MODFLOW.
  • Deep understanding of hydrothermal systems and geothermal fluid chemistry.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex geophysical and geochemical datasets.
  • Excellent technical writing and ability to communicate scientific findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project management capabilities in a field-based environment.

Education

A Master’s degree in Geothermal Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or a closely related Earth Science discipline is required. A PhD is highly preferred for this specialized role.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of direct experience in geothermal reservoir management or subsurface exploration. Proven experience in working within emerging markets or complex geological terrains is a significant advantage. Salary
