Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the implementation of sustainable groundwater and surface water management systems.
• Conduct comprehensive hydrological assessments to inform long-term water security strategies.
• Lead technical field teams in the construction and maintenance of solar-powered water pumping stations.
• Coordinate with local stakeholders to ensure community-led management of water resources.
• Monitor water quality standards and implement rapid response protocols for contamination events.

Required Skills

• Advanced expertise in hydrological modeling and groundwater assessment techniques.

Education

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field. A PhD in Water Resource Management is highly desirable. Professional certification in Project Management (PMP) is an added advantage.

Experience

A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in water resource management, specifically focusing on large-scale infrastructure projects in developing nations. Proven experience working in East Africa or similar arid environments is essential. You must have a track record of managing budgets exceeding $1M USD and leading technical engineering teams.

Salary

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 6,200,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s technical expertise and previous experience in the sector.
