Job Overview
This role is ideal for a proactive cybersecurity professional tasked with safeguarding SomTech’s digital infrastructure. The Cybersecurity Analyst will monitor, detect, and mitigate threats to ensure the integrity of client and company data. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for potential security breaches.
- Implement firewalls, encryption tools, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans for cybersecurity threats.
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies and compliance standards.
- Provide training to staff on cybersecurity best practices.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar).
- Knowledge of penetration testing and ethical hacking methodologies.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly advantageous.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles.
- Proven track record in threat detection and incident response.
Salary
15,000 – 20,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
