Job Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Aerospace Maintenance Engineer to join our technical team in Hargeisa. This critical role involves overseeing complex aircraft maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with international aviation regulations, and leading a team of technicians to maintain our fleet at peak performance. This is a high-responsibility position that requires deep technical knowledge of turbine engines, avionics, and airframe structures. You will be responsible for diagnosing complex mechanical issues and implementing long-term maintenance strategies to minimize aircraft downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate heavy maintenance checks and routine inspections on various aircraft types.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with EASA, FAA, and local Somali aviation authority regulations.
• Diagnose complex technical faults in aircraft systems, including propulsion, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers and technicians to ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Manage spare parts inventory and technical documentation to ensure seamless maintenance workflows.
• Implement rigorous safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a zero-incident working environment.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in aircraft diagnostic tools and technical software.

Education

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or senior engineering capacity. Proven experience working with commercial jet engines is essential.

Salary

The offered salary for this position ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 6,200,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s expertise and technical certifications.
