Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Agronomy Consultant to lead our technical initiatives in the Awdal region. This role is critical for designing and implementing large-scale agricultural interventions that promote sustainable land management and crop diversification. The successful candidate will work closely with local farming cooperatives to introduce modern irrigation techniques and climate-smart agricultural practices. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive agronomic strategies to improve soil health and crop yields for smallholder farmers.
  • Conduct field assessments to identify gaps in local agricultural production and water management.
  • Design training modules for local extension workers on climate-resilient farming techniques.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of agricultural interventions on community food security.
  • Collaborate with government agencies and NGOs to align agricultural projects with national development goals.

Required Skills

  • Advanced expertise in soil science, pest management, and irrigation technology.

Education

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of seven years of professional experience in agricultural development, preferably within East Africa or similar semi-arid environments. Salary
