Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Agronomist to join our technical team in Dhusamareeb. This role is critical to our mission of enhancing agricultural productivity and climate resilience in the region. The successful candidate will lead field-based research and implementation projects, working closely with local farming communities to introduce sustainable crop management techniques. This position involves a blend of high-level strategic planning and hands-on field supervision to ensure that our agricultural interventions are both scientifically sound and culturally appropriate. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement large-scale crop rotation and soil fertility management programs.
- Conduct field trials to test the resilience of various seed varieties against local drought conditions.
- Provide technical guidance to local extension officers and community leaders.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of agricultural interventions on smallholder yields.
- Develop comprehensive reports on soil health and pest management trends in the region.

Required Skills

Education

Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of professional experience in agricultural research or field management, preferably within East Africa or similar semi-arid climates. Proven experience in managing large-scale rural development projects is essential.
Salary
