Job Overview
The Senior Procurement Logistics Specialist will play a pivotal role in our Borama operations. This position is designed for a strategic thinker who can manage complex procurement cycles while simultaneously optimizing logistics workflows. You will be responsible for sourcing high-quality vendors, negotiating large-scale contracts, and ensuring that the entire supply chain remains resilient against local and international disruptions. This is a high-impact role that directly influences our operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the region. We are currently hiring in Somalia for this critical position to support our expanding regional distribution hubs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to support regional logistics operations.
- Negotiate complex service level agreements (SLAs) with local and international vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock rotation to prevent shortages or overages.
- Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure seamless cross-border movement of goods.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Manage vendor performance through regular audits and KPI tracking.
Required Skills
- Advanced expertise in strategic sourcing and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and logistics management systems.

Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) are highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess at least 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in procurement and logistics management. Proven experience working within the East African logistics sector is a significant advantage. You should have a track record of managing large-scale vendor relationships and optimizing complex supply chains.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 6,500,000 SSP, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a competitive package designed to attract the best talent in the industry.
