Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to final delivery and payment verification.
  • Conduct regular vendor performance evaluations to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
  • Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to synchronize procurement schedules with inventory needs.
  • Mitigate supply chain risks by identifying potential disruptions and developing contingency plans.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with both local Somali regulations and international corporate governance standards.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Somali.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is highly preferred.

Experience

Candidates must possess at least 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the logistics or shipping industry. Proven experience in managing large-scale vendor portfolios and complex negotiations is essential for success in this role.

Salary

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 6,500,000 SSP, depending on experience and qualifications. This competitive package reflects the high level of expertise required for this senior-level position.
