Job Overview

The AgriTech Innovation Specialist will lead the development and implementation of technology-driven solutions to improve crop yields, water efficiency, and supply chain transparency. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy agri-tech tools such as IoT-based soil sensors and drone-based crop monitoring systems.
  • Collaborate with local farmers to integrate mobile apps for market price tracking and weather forecasting.
  • Conduct research on climate-resilient crops and sustainable irrigation techniques.
  • Partner with NGOs and government agencies to scale digital farming initiatives.
  • Provide training to agricultural cooperatives on using technology for yield optimization.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in agricultural technology platforms and data analytics tools.
  • Proven experience in project management for rural development programs.
  • Strong understanding of Somalia’s agricultural challenges and opportunities.
  • Fluency in Somali and English; knowledge of local farming practices.
  • Ability to work in remote, resource-constrained environments.

Education
